Medecine Buddha sutra

Buddha Menla, Medicine Master and King of Lapis Lazuli Light, is the buddha of healing and medicine in Mahayana Buddhism.

In the English language, he is commonly referred to as the “Medicine Buddha”. The analogy of a Buddha being depicted as a doctor who cures the illness of suffering using the medicine of his teachings appears widely in Buddhist scriptures.

In the imagery of Tibetan Buddhism, the Medicine Buddha an important role: it represents the healing aspect of our Buddha nature. The meditation of the Medicine Buddha is a powerful medicine against the root causes of mental and physical suffering.

Chenrezig Puja

In the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon of enlightened beings, Chenrezig is renowned as the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhas, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.

Chenrezig may be the most popular of all Buddhist deities, except for Buddha himself — he is beloved throughout the Buddhist world. He is known by different names in different lands: as Avalokiteshvara in the ancient Sanskrit language of India, as Kuan-yin in China, as Kannon in Japan.
